February's Lesson

Over the next several months while Rosemary has such a busy schedule, is on tour etc, Samantha will be collaborating with her on writing the lessons for the month. Rosemary is very much a part of the process, but not always able to sit at a computer and write. Since Samantha has grown up with the teachings of Rosemary, we hope you'll agree that she's the ideal candidate to collaborate with her mother in order to bring you a lesson every month.

Postponed...
This month's lesson is unfortunately postponed because Rosemary is sick...Unfortunately we won't be posting a new lesson because of this for possible a couple more months. We're sorry that Rosemary isn't up to teaching of late, hope you understand and ask you that you send out healing thoughts for her speedy recovery. We'll post a new lesson as soon as possible.

The most precious things we have in life are usually those things that we take the most for granted. Children, family, friends. A nice house, a comfortable bed, food on the table.

These are some of our most precious things.

Or for more lessons and insights read Rosemary's book, You Own the Power, and watch out for her forthcoming book, A Matter Of Life And Death

The most precious things we have in life are usually those things that we take the most for granted. Children, family, friends. A nice house, a comfortable bed, food on the table. These are some of our most precious things.

The rest, the fine jewelry the bank account, the nice car these are the second, and next most important things we would put onour list if someone were to ask us what do we have in our lives that are valuable.

The way we access and value our most precious gifts has a lot to do with the climate of the day; everybody owns a cell phone and a TV set, a computer... When we watch television and the continual commercials we're told, brainwashed almost about what should be precious in our lives.
When was the last time you considered that a smile was a most precious thing?
When was the last time, you considered a small act of kindness the most precious thing?

I was on my way back from a visit to England and Italy and because of a health issue needed wheelchair assistance. I was quiteterrified by this prospect as the last time this had happened to me (I had a badly sprained ankle and was unable to walk), I was stranded at a Dutch airport, left for hours and was unable to find anyone to help me. The experience of being ignored, treated as if I didn't exist, and the indifference of people, also traveling rushing for planes etc who perhaps under ordinary circumstances would have been kind and helpful, was horrendous. However, this time the experience was just the opposite the kindness of people, the smiles I received while being wheeled through the airport, the helpfulness of the airport staff and the plane crew was truly a gift.a precious gift.

Kindness, respect, a caring and gentle attitude a simple smile, these are the gifts that are above and beyond price. How many of these gifts do you possess?

Do you have a kind smile?
Do you have kind words and a gentle touch, not just for your family and friends, but for the strangers you might meet in an airport, or a supermarket, a hospital, or a bus or train?

It's easy when it's easy, in other words it's easy when you're in a good mood. It's easy when you're feeling well. It's easy when you're not rushing, in a hurry to get to work, traveling, trying to get dinner on the table. It's easy when you're feeling loved. It's easy when your children are being well behaved. It's easy when you have no stress. It's not easy when the stress gets piled on, nothing is going right your boyfriend just ditched you.you come home and your wife of screaming at the kids.it's easy when it's easy.

Do you have a kind smile? . even under stress?
Do you have kind words and a gentle touch.when you're not feeling well?

The most precious gift that we possess and the most precious gift that we can give is to give of ourselves, with kindness, love, and gentleness even when it's hard and perhaps especially when it's hard.

We are human and in our humanness it is so easy to get caught up in this life we often call the rat race and it is so hard to behave like and angel.

The lesson for this month is for us to work on our angel technique, to do one good thing, to give one kind smile, one kind word, one gentle touch, not just to our family and friends, but to those other human beings around us who are also living in the rat race, who may give you a hard stare, or an indifferent shrug as you try to reach out to them. It's easy when it's easy, but this month maybe we can do it even when we find it hard.
