How many of us have not listened to that still, small voice within us that guides us? How many times have we gotten signs that we ignored? How many times have we not noticed the help that comes when we least expect it, or took it for granted?
So many, many times we receive guidance from the spirit world without even realizing it. For no reason at all you decide to go to a restaurant you have not been to in years only to run into someone that has been on your mind. You make a wrong turn and get lost only to find you ended up in the right place at the right time. It's all about trust, trusting yourself, trusting the spirit world, trusting the process.
You have something on your mind that you need an answer to, something in your life is just not right, your job, your husband or wife, your significant other, family, or friends. You're in an abusive relationship and are too embarrassed or too scared to do something about it. You sense that feeling in your chest, that sick feeling when you know something is not right. You should pay attention to those feelings, they are red flags, that still, small voice within us that guides us. It's much easier to say than to do. If only we would listen.
Listening to that voice takes courage, courage to stand up for your beliefs, courage to stand up for your faith, courage to stand up for yourself, or those you love. It also takes faith. Faith knowing that those in the spirit world are there for you, to guide you, to give you support, to give you encouragement, to give you love. Take the leap of faith and trust in the process, trust that you are getting exactly what you need when you need it. You may not always get what you want, but you always get exactly what you need. This is something I tell my students on a regular basis.
It may be as simple that you need to learn a lesson in patience, that you must not force an issue, and that it will all work out in the end. But how many times instead of trusting the process, you worry yourself and become unable to function? You bite your nails, or smoke, or eat, or don't eat, or you become angry to deal with the stress you feel. There are many different ways we can react. You go on a job interview and even though it goes well, you still worry when you don't get the return phone call when you think you should. You go on a date with a new person and really like them, and worry that they may not feel the same way about you.
It's much easier to worry over something than it is to sit down, clear your head, and know that it will all work out. It's easier to say "What if this happens, or worse, what if that happens?", all the what ifs we make for ourselves. It's easier to see all the negatives, and forget about all the positives, the glass is half empty.
This is the lesson of the month, having the faith that you are receiving exactly what you need when you need it. Having the faith to listen to that still, small voice within, and following it. Having the courage to ask for help when you need it, and knowing that you will receive it. Knowing that those in the spirit world watch over us constantly, guiding us, giving us exactly what we need.
Think of all the times that you have led yourself into this way of thinking. How many what ifs have you made for yourself? How many times have you let your thoughts run wild to the point of not being able to function? How could you, in the future, deal with a situation differently? How could you change your way of thinking? How can you trust yourself more? How can you allow yourself to realize that those in the spirit world are helping you? How can you realize that you are even thinking in that way to begin with?
So here's what we can do to help ourselves:
Get up each morning, look in the mirror and take a moment to realize that we are spiritual being connecting with the universe, connecting with the energy, and tell yourself that you are going to pay attention.
Next, at a variety of times throughout the day, and if it's helpful, give yourself set times, ie. 10 o'clock, 12 o'clock., to remind yourself that "I'm a spiritual being of energy connecting with the universe, connecting with my instincts."
Finally, before you go to bed, sit down with a pad and paper and take a moment to think back over the days events. Ask yourself these questions:
What did I feel today?
Who did I feel was present with me today?
What did my inner voice tell me today?
How much attention did I pay to my instinctive nature?
*Do this everyday for the next month and see how much more attuned to your instincts you become, and how much more a part of the universe and that incredible God force you now feel.*
